The Walt Disney Company continues to expand Disney plus across the globe. In September 2021, the company is set to expand in eight European countries. Hence, most people on Disney+ are waiting eagerly for the platform to be launched in their countries.
The Disney plus launch program started on November 12th, 2019. Countries with Disney+ include the USA, Canada, Netherlands, Australia, New Zealand, and the UK. Disney+ is projected to finish the year 2021 with 66 million paying subscribers in Asia, more than double the 32 million subs it had at the end of 2020. At the same time, there are numerous countries with Disney+ in Europe and Latin America, as well.

74.19% Have Heard About Disney’s Streaming Service — Disney+
Nearly 75% of the respondents answered the survey about what programs Disney plus should stream next on the Real Research online survey application that they have heard about Disney+. The platform became more popular especially after introducing features such as Disney+Groupwatch amid the pandemic.
Consequently, the results on the Real Research online survey application show that 57.06% have access to Disney+ in their countries. The Disney launch program started on November 12th, 2019, in the USA, Canada, Netherlands, UK, and other countries. Disney+ also has release dates for more countries in 2021.
Survey Results Reveal that 36.06% Mostly Watch Movies on Disney+
The majority of the survey respondents (34.40%) state that they spend less than an hour on the platform. Meanwhile, 27.48% say 1 to 2 hours per day. Additionally, 11.65% say 2 to 4 hours a day. Thus, we can conclude and say most respondents spend between 1 to 4 hours per day on Disney+.
Moving on, Real Research asked ‘what type of entertainment do you usually watch on Disney+’. Interestingly, the majority chose ‘movies’ (36.06%). Meanwhile, some watch the Disney+ series (17.95%), and animation (15.36%). Furthermore, those who say sports (8.03%), news (2.38%), nature (1.45%), and others.

Marvel Cinematic Universe Takes the Lead as Favourite Disney Franchise
39.92% of the survey participants state that Marvel is their favorite Disney franchise. Disney bought Marvel Entertainment, including its film studio, in 2009. Since then the Marvel Cinematic Universe has become the highest-grossing franchise of all time.
Following after is Star Wars (19.89%), Disney Princess movies (9.41%), The Chronicles of Narnia (6.90%), The Pirates of the Caribbean (1.70%). These are the most sought-after Disney+ franchises by the respondents. Also, others chose the option saying they do not watch Disney+.
Furthermore, Disney+ is launching many original series on the platform. Marvel series once again took the trophy (49.46%) as the original favorite Disney plus series that people are most excited to see. After that, comes the Star Wars (17.02%) series, Disney movies series (11.09%), Original live-action series (4.67%) among the list.
24.85% Want to See Percy Jackson and the Olympians as a Disney plus series to watch in the Future
Moving on, respondents anticipate watching some of their favorite Disney plus series on the platform in the future. 24.85% would like to see Percy Jackson and the Olympians as a series in the future. Then after some request The Pirates of the Caribbean (21.29%), The Chronicles of Narnia (20.44%), and Indiana Jones (7.36%) as a series on Disney plus in the future.
Also, on the list for Disney plus series to watch in the future are Cheaper by the dozen, X-men, Disney Princess series, and Diary of a Wimpy Kid. If Disney could get the rights to canceled shows from other services, which platform should it focus on? Netflix (36.47%), Amazon Prime Video (25.33%), Youtube Premium (13.24%).
‘Where do you think Disney should find inspiration for their future shows’? Survey results to this question are that they should create their own original series (41.09%), they should choose from existing Disney movies (26.66%), and (12.15%) stating they should adapt programs based on any book series owned by Disney.
Disney Should Have Diversity in Race Says 43.75%
Disney has been under scrutiny for its lack of diverse representation in its programs. Let’s read the representations participants think Disney should focus on in future programs? Firstly, diversity in race (43.75%), accurate historic and cultural representation (24.21%), more female leads (6.54%), more characters with disabilities (2.25%).
Lastly, the survey asked if respondents would consider subscribing to Disney if it has a more diverse representation in their programs. 45.26% said ‘Yes’. On the other hand, 22.00% say ‘No’. Meanwhile, 32.74% say ‘Disney+ is not available in my country of residence’.
In conclusion, the results on the Real Research survey app show that respondents are anticipating more Disney plus series to watch in the future. Disney+ series and movies take the lead in the type of entertainment people look for on the platform. Finally, while most viewers have their favorite Disney plus series, Percy Jackson and the Olympians got voted for as the most favorite.
