Recently, the California state legislature passed a bill that bans discrimination based on caste, a deeply entrenched system of social stratification originating from South Asia. Caste discrimination is a form of discrimination based on the social hierarchy, which is determined by a person’s birth. There have, however, been some concerns that the games tend to be so immersive that players dissociated from reality. A gaming disorder is defined as a pattern of gaming behavior characterized by impaired control over gaming and an increasing priority given to gaming over other activities.
