Russian President Vladimir Putin warned the West that a Russia-NATO conflict would mean the planet was one step away from World War 3. Real Research, an online survey app, revealed that 82.38% of the respondents were aware of this.

  • 54.08% of respondents  were strongly concerned about Putin’s statement regarding the possibility of a Russia-NATO conflict
  • 51.88% of the respondents believe that it is strongly necessary to create a buffer zone to defend Russian territory.

Would a Russia-Nato Conflict Result in World War III?

“Everything is possible in the modern world,” said Putin when asked by Reuters about the possibility of a Russia-NATO conflict. 54.08% of the respondents said they were strongly concerned about this statement.

French President Macron said he could not rule out the future deployment of ground troops in Ukraine. 46.46% of the respondents found it highly likely that NATO would deploy ground troops in the future, while 39.06% found it somewhat likely.

Russia-NATO Conflict

Putin says he wishes Macron would stop seeking to “aggravate the war in Ukraine” and play a role in finding peace. 66.34% of the respondents believe France could play a role in finding peace in the Russia-Ukraine conflict.

In addition, 43.32% of the respondents said peace talks between Russia and Ukraine are somewhat likely to occur, and 38.56% said it was highly likely.

Possibility of a Conflict Between Russia and NATO

Putin said if the attacks from Ukraine continued, Russia would create a buffer zone out of more Ukrainian territory to defend Russian territory. A survey on the Russia-NATO conflict revealed that 51.88% of the respondents believe that it is strongly necessary to create a buffer zone to defend Russian territory.

Furthermore, 45.34% of the respondents found it somewhat likely that WW3 would occur due to the escalation of the situation between Ukraine and Russia. 24.62% found it somewhat unlikely, while 21.68% found it highly likely.
