With COVID-19 resulting in the economic fallout, many economies are working on game-changing developments to protect their workers and clients. While focusing on the continuous challenges, industry leaders are embracing new ideas to manage and stay afloat in this aggressive environment.

In detail, an autonomous vehicle can sense its environment and allows vehicles to drive themselves as well as communicate with one another. According to experts, they can run with little to no human intervention. Besides, it uses processors for its functions. Therefore, the higher the level of autonomy, the greater is the processor running for autonomous vehicles.

The era of fully autonomous vehicles is still on the road, there are quite a few challenges to overcome. Accordingly, Real Research published a survey to find out the public opinion regarding autonomous vehicles. Here is the result.

Highlights

  • 48.50% of the respondents have already driven an autonomous vehicle.
  • Tesla is voted as the most favorite brand.
  • Most of the respondents were concerned about the safety of autonomous vehicles.

The Long-Awaited Level 5 Development

The blast of the Covid-19 has negatively changed the global autonomous vehicle processor market due to lockdown imposition. In addition, the government policies to temporarily shut down the manufacturing units led to disruption in supply chain and production capacity.

As the market returns, the global Autonomous Vehicle Processor market is likely to recognize a positive growth in the forecast timeline. Notably, 28.52% of the respondents believe that the development of the level 5 automation will be finished within the year. Meanwhile, others are not convinced it will happen in a year. Thus, 15.27% voted saying 2 years.
