Survey Reveals Over 74% of Respondents Travel Every Year

The Covid-19 pandemic has plagued summers for a while, however, 2022 is reassuring promising possibilities. Many are consequently planning their favorite travel destinations for Summer 2022. The summer holidays include sipping on a cold beverage by the beach, fun cross-country road trips, etc. Many thus, have numerous tastes and preferences in their society regarding their ideal summer travel destinations.

To find out, Real Research launched a survey on favorite travel destinations for Summer 2022. It aims to find out where exactly the public plans to spend Summer 2022. Would they want to travel? If so, where would they go? Here are the results.

74.48% of Respondents Are Willing To Travel for Summer 2022

Firstly, the survey asks respondents if they like to travel for the summer. To which, a majority of the 74.48% yes, they travel every year. Meanwhile, 10.94% say they prefer to travel once every two years, and 7.9% travel every few years. On the other hand, 7.50% say no, I prefer traveling during other seasons.

Next, the survey asks how respondents decide if they will travel for the summer. In reply, the majority (59.20%) rely on the number of leave days. Then, 13.66% say it depends on the workload. Meanwhile, 9.76% prefer ‘matching holiday schedules with friends and family’. However, 6.78% say it depends on their travel budget. Whereas 2.92%, 2.75%, and 2.33% say depending on easy visa requirements, good travel packages, and the summer temperature respectively.

Accordingly, the survey asks about respondents’ summer vibe. In response, the majority of 52.84% prefer their vibe to be ‘adventurous and thrilling’. On the other hand, 25.40% prefer ‘rest and relation’. Furthermore, some prefer a peaceful and spiritual vibe (9.83%) and some say they want to seek escapism (6.47%).

Respondents’ Views on Travel Preferences

Additionally, the survey asks respondents to share their preferred modes of transport for traveling. In reply, a majority of 50.96% chose to travel via airplane, while 18.28% say train, and 16.41% say car/bus/van. On the other hand, the rest chose bike (8.20%), ship/boat (3.14%), and walking (3.02%).

Next, the survey asks about the terrain respondents feel is best for traveling. In reply, 49.17% say mountains, islands (17.75%), coastal areas, and hills and valleys (8.39%).

Verdict on Favorite Destinations for Summer 2022

The survey then asks respondents about the most exciting thing about summer travels. In response, 48.14% like the ‘summer-centric cuisine’. Whereas, 16.72% like to carry ‘light luggage’. Some respondents are excited about ‘summer outfits’. The other 6.39% ‘enjoy a change of setting’. Meanwhile, 5.92% experience summer-centric activities.

Lastly, the survey asks where respondents would like to travel for summer 2022. All 46.78% chose ‘Galapagos Islands’, whereas11.55% chose the British Virgin Islands. On the other hand, 6.09% and 6.06% prefer to go to Copenhagen and Alaska. Some 5.67% are also willing to go to Antarctica for the summer.
