Survey: Public Opinion on the State of Online Harassment

Social media has become a big part of our world. In fact, some can argue that it has become an essential part of our lives. To say the least, this medium has offered us a lot. For instance, communication has never been easier. It allows connecting with people and brands alike. Users can reach out to people they never could before. Thus, in many ways, social media has changed the world.

However, like with every type of technology, the good and bad of it are made by the hands of those who wield it. Likewise, if social media is used for good, like broadcasting the truth and reaching out to help or staying connected, this is a good way to use it. Unfortunately, the shadow side of social media is that many users use it to propagate hate or harass, or abuse others across cyberspace.
