Countries are still haunted by the 2015 migration crisis fueled by the Syrian war. Therefore, the sudden return of Taliban rule in Afghanistan could pose a potential Afghan refugee crisis.  In detail, the Taliban fighters seized nearly all of Afghanistan in just over a week aiming to restore the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.

Therefore, Afghans are leaving the country as they fear punishment by the Taliban for having worked with Western forces. For instance, the video clip on people clinging to an aircraft taking off from Kabul’s airport has only deepened Europe’s anxiety. The European Union officials state that there is a need for urgent humanitarian help.

More so, the U.S. government is discussing the prospect of using its overseas bases for the refugees.  Additionally, Britain said it would welcome 5,000 Afghan refugees this year.  Hence, Real Research seeks to find out the public opinion on accepting Afghan refugees.

So, hurry and share your thoughts with us by answering the survey on the Real Research App from 25 August 2021. After that, you will receive 5 PLF as a reward.
