South Korea President Moon Jae-in announced that the government will provide its citizens the COVID-19 vaccine for free, starting in February 2021. The administration is confident of a quick and strong recovery in the economy as well as a quick return to the normal routinary life everyone had before the pandemic.
Moon also added that the local government will continue to encourage South Korea’s own vaccine development as part of efforts for “vaccine sovereignty” and “global health care cooperation.”
