As the crisis of the Russia-Ukraine war unfolds, Russia is reportedly facing sanctions and boycotts from many events. This comes following a backlash from the war inflicted upon Ukraine in February, and the attacks and invasion that followed.

In February, following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, people around the world, companies, and organizations boycotted and seized operations in Russia, and other countries that came in support of Ukraine as an act of solidarity. This includes various countries such as the UK, USA, EU, etc. Support also poured in globally in the form of funding, ammunition, food, supplies, etc. as well as numerous sanctions against Russia.

However, in recent weeks, multiple global events boycotted or imposed bans on Russia’s participation and involvement in any way. This includes participation in the Winter Paralympics last month. Moreover, involvement in all football competitions (FIFA and UEFA) and cancellations of scheduled musical events by prominent figures in Russia.

In detail, one significant sector that was affected by the numerous boycotts coming in is the Russian Art field. Artists in Russia are allegedly refused to be employed or collaborated with amid the Russia-Ukraine crisis. However, people have their opinions on the matter. Where some feel all sanctions and boycotts are necessary to put pressure on the respective leaders, others feel civilians and other ‘informal’ forms of culture should not have to pay the price as well.

Thus, Real Research launched a survey on the Russian cultural boycotts. So, hurry and share your opinion on the Real Research app from March 15, 2022. After that, you will receive 15 TNC as a reward.
