Recently, there have been several shootings in the US, raising questions about the country’s gun laws with regards to the safety of its citizens. In specific, the two incidents occurred just 10 days from each other, causing widespread concern across the country. The first occurred in Buffalo, New York at a supermarket on May 14th, 2022. In this incident 10 African-American people were killed via gunshot wounds, leaving 3 others injured. The second incident occurred in a school in Uvalde, Texas leaving 19 killed children killed, and 2 adults.

Statistics say, in this year alone, 27 mass shooting incidents have taken place. And this has raised questions about the safety of citizens in the USA with specific regard to the gun laws in the country. Over the years, many pondered over the causes of these shootings, and suggest the need for better, stricter laws, and regulations for gun use and control.

The shootings have prompted possible causes for such mass shootings to take place. While many suggest it is the result of early age exposure, others say there needs to be stricter regulations and policies in place.
