Over the past month, the situation between Ukraine and Russia has escalated. The Western media did not stop giving predictions about the imminent invasion of Russian troops into Ukraine. At the same time, on February 21, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed decrees recognizing the independence of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, located in Ukraine’s territory.

The world community reacted to this move immediately and considered this action as interference in the sovereignty of another state. Moreover, many countries perceived it as an act of aggression. Thus, sanctions against Russia have been imposed by the United States, Great Britain, the EU, Canada, Japan, and Australia.

To highlight, the US sanctions hit Russian banks, sovereign debt, and elites & their family members. Next, the UK imposed sanctions against Russian banks and wealthy individuals. Following that, EU sanctions were imposed against the 351 members of the State Duma who voted in favor of Russia’s recognition of LPR and DPR. Meanwhile, Canada’s sanctions targeted Russian banks and pipeline projects while Australia’s sanctions went for Russia’s oil and gas sectors.

Accordingly, Real Research launched a survey on sanctions against Russia to gather public opinion. For instance, are participants aware of the Russia and Ukraine crisis? In particular, do they know that Russia’s president, Vladimir Putin, signed a decree on recognition of the DPR and LPR independence (territories that historically belong to Ukraine)? More so, what do participants think about sanctions and the effect they might cause?

Hence, hurry and share your opinion via the public opinion on a survey on sanctions against Russia on the Real Research online survey app from February 25, 2022. After that, you will receive 10 PLF as a reward.
