A heatwave is scorching its way through Europe in the recent days. There were record-breaking temperatures in UK, Spain, and France, with highs ranging between 41-43°C. Countries specifically such as Portugal, Greece, and France even experienced deadly wildfires spreading through the lands, also raising other concerns alongside climate change. This comes after reports forecasted heatwaves of higher temperatures.

Most importantly, news of these heatwaves is raising possible concerns about the consequences of the heat. Some are environmentally related, and others, relate to the population of a country. For instance, some of the consequences of heatwaves are huge wildfires, droughts, sicknesses, death of livestock and crops, glacier melting, and many more.

Whereas others are thinking of possible solutions to curb the effects of climate change. Some of these steps were reducing the use of plastic and packaging materials. Following that, the use of eco-friendly products such as vehicles, separated trash, reduced waste, and energy, etc.

But what could have possibly caused it all to come to this? What were the factors that affected the global temperatures to change so much in short times? What can one or we all do about it? How long before it is too late?

To answer these questions and many more, Real Research launched a survey on Europe’s heatwave and climate change. The survey seeks opinions on what the public has to say regarding these climate change-related issues. It also aims to reveal what individual steps can be taken to ensure smaller changes and eventually bigger changes.
