Nevertheless, a military researcher, Pavel Baev, who worked for the Soviet defense ministry, stated that Putin cannot count on these weapons actually working as it was said that Russia’s military vehicles were poorly designed with alarming vulnerabilities.

Baev said:

Most of these warheads stored there are very old; without testing, it’s really hard to say how suitable they are because many of them are past their expiration date.

However, according to the Geneva Conventions, nuclear warheads are described as ‘unfair’ and ‘illegal’ components in warfare as they would cause mass destruction and a vast number of civilian casualties.

Illegal use of nuclear warheads would possibly mean the destruction of the world. The radiation as a result of the warheads would be much more catastrophic than the warhead itself. It’s likely that the entire human civilization would be wiped out, forced to remain in fallout shelters.
