Due to the covid pandemic, many companies shifted to full-time remote working. However, vaccines are being distributed in various countries in a bid to stop the virus. Therefore, companies are calling employees back to work from the office. In contrast, employees have become used to remote working and feel the policy should continue.

Firstly, workers say remote working keeps them safe from the pandemic as new variants are being discovered.  Also, it lowers expenses acquired from traveling, accommodation, etc. In argument, companies state that being together in one environment brings out more good ideas. It boosts company profits as everyone is guaranteed to be working on work hours.

“We definitely think remote working gives us a competitive advantage,” Jennifer Christie, Twitter’s head of HR. Meanwhile, Apple CEO Tom Cook says “It’s bumping into each other over the course of the day and advancing an idea that you just had. And you really need to be together to do that.” Hence, Real Research seeks to find out the public opinion on the matter of remote working.
