Some fans have opined that Dutch Van der Linde could play the protagonist; meanwhile, some say it could provide an in-depth prequel story for Arthur Morgan or John Marston, reprising their roles as the main characters.
Fans also wished they could play as the trustworthy Charles Smith in the game. Finally, some claim Mac Callander, who was proclaimed dead in Red Dead Redemption 2, could be the new protagonist if the game follows its prequel-style story-telling.
The next question would be: will it be a prequel or a sequel to the Red Dead Redemption franchise? Fans are eager to know whether Rockstar will develop a game that continues the events after John Marston’s death, revolving around his son, Jack Marston.
