Inflation has been rising globally due to various factors. In particular, Real Research surveyed how tourists behaved in response to this inflation. Tourism taxes are charged in some countries and it could mean that a person may need to pay $10 when they arrive. Real Research asked the respondents about the likelihood of an increment in prices affecting their travel plans.
51.04% of respondents stated that it was highly likely that taxes and global tourist attractions raising prices could affect their travel plans. 35.42% stated that it was somewhat likely while 8.86% stated that it was somewhat unlikely, with 4.68% of respondents stating that it was highly unlikely for taxes to affect travel plans.

Global tourist hotspots raise prices
Among the many global tourist attractions raising prices, tourists in Iceland are bound to pay an accommodation tax for every night they stay in the country. 37.57% of respondents stated that they were extremely comfortable with this price hike, while 31.64% of respondents stated that they were somewhat comfortable. 19.12% of respondents stated that they were somewhat uncomfortable, while 11.72% stated that they were extremely uncomfortable.
43.40% of respondents were happy with the price surge that some travel destinations introduced as an entry fee. 34.14% of respondents were okay with the price surge, while 22.46% of respondents were unhappy with the price surge.
Tourist Hot Spots Are Introducing Entry Fees and Price Hikes
Mount Fuji in Japan, Plaza de Espana Square in Seville, Spain, The Louvre Art Museum in France, and Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, US, are some of the places that have introduced entry fees.
21.20% of respondents prefer visiting Mount Fuji in Japan, while 32.78% of respondents like visiting Plaza de Espana Square in Seville, Spain. 30.60% of respondents stated they would visit The Louvre Art Museum in France and 15.42% stated that they would go to Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, despite these global tourist attractions raising prices.
BBC reported that by increasing the taxes, the entities tried to increase the number of visitors. 64.06% of respondents stated that managing the number of visitors to global tourist attractions and raising prices was a fruitful method. However, 35.94% of respondents stated that global tourist attractions raising prices to control visitors were futile. 63.52% of respondents stated that they would be paying a premium for travel experiences that offer reduced congestion, while 36.48% of respondents do not want to pay a premium.
44.64% of respondents stated that price hikes would probably reduce tourism, while 26.16% of respondents said that global tourist attractions raising prices will reduce tourism.
