Coffee is a daily requirement for many around the world. For some, coffee is a beverage, to others, it is part of their culture. Accordingly, one such popular coffee brand is Nescafe. Some swear by the Nescafe product ranges daily and have many opinions about them.

Thus, Real Research launched a survey on coffee brand Nescafé and its products. To specify, the survey seeks to find out the public satisfaction with Nescafé products. It aims to know public tastes, preferences, and more. Here are the results.

  • 81.30% say coffee brands produce more impressive coffee than electronic manufacturing companies.
  • 46.15% say they are most happy about the fragrance of Nescafe coffee products.
  • 47.17% say Nescafe often tastes like ‘Dark Chocolate’, while 12.87% say it tastes like ‘Roasted Nuts’.

The Majority of Respondents Enjoy Espresso Coffee Drinks

The survey starts with a question about respondents drinking coffee. On this, 58.84% say they always drink coffee. Meanwhile, 18.40% said ‘often’ and 16.05% said ‘sometimes’. However, 3.61% drink coffee ‘rarely’. Next, the survey asks whether respondents prefer branded coffee chains or coffee at home. A majority of 72.01% prefer branded coffee chains while 27.99% prefer making their coffee at home.

The survey then asks what kind of coffee beverage respondents prefer to drink at home. The majority (34.80%) chose espresso, whereas 22.58% prefer black coffee/americano, and 8.80% prefer lattes. Moreover, 8.24% prefer cappuccino, while 6.26% prefer milk tea, and 3.86% prefer tea. A further 3.23% prefer hot chocolate, 2.89% prefer cold brew/dutch coffee, and lastly, 2.71% prefer macchiatos.

Further, the survey asks what respondents consider when enjoying a beverage at home. In response, 40.06% consider the easy making and prep process, while 14.76% prefer convenience. Moreover, 13.63% consider the taste, whereas 9.12% consider the flavor and 8.91% consider affordability. Lastly, 5.45% consider the quality.

Next, the survey asks which coffee brewing method respondents like best. In reply, 39.72% say espresso, whereas 15.33% prefer coffee maker, and 11.61% prefer to pour-over. A further 9.68% prefer instant coffee, whereas 5.54% prefer drip coffee, and 4.87% prefer french press.

Following after, the survey asks which instant coffee products respondents prefer. The majority (44.81%) chose instant coffee granules, whereas 21.48% prefer the 3-in-1 instant coffee, and 17.94% prefer instant ground coffee. Some 8.67% prefer ground coffee for brewing, however, 6.71% do not enjoy instant coffee products at home.

The next question asks what respondents would consider the most when choosing a coffee machine. In answer, 35.45% chose brand awareness, 15.61% prefer the design, 12.11% say the latest model, and 8.82% prefer machine size. A further 7.69% prefer the function of the machine, 5.77% prefer price, and 4.98% prefer convenience.

92.12% Are Aware of the Brand ‘Nescafe’

Carrying on, the survey asks if respondents are aware of the coffee brand Nescafe and its products. A whopping 92.12% say ‘yes’ and 7.88% say ‘no’. Accordingly, the survey asks which Nescafe products, in particular, respondents know about. Here, 55.35% chose the coffee pod machine (Dolce Gusto), 25.59% chose instant coffee, and 18.71% say coffee pods/capsules.

Next, the survey asks if respondents have tried the Dolce Gusto coffee pod machine. In response, 75.73% say ‘yes’ and 24.27% say ‘no’. Further, in comparison to the Dolce Gusto coffee machine, the survey asks what other brands respondents prefer. A majority of 55.86% say Nespresso, 10.11% say illy, 5.69% say Lavazza, and 3.69% say Delonghi. A further 3.53% say Breville, 3.29% say Tassimo, and 3.21% chose Jura. Lastly, 2.74% prefer Keurig.

The survey also asks respondents — what is great about Dolce Gusto coffee pods/capsules? A majority of 52.52% feel that all Dolce Gusto machines deliver equal coffee taste. Meanwhile, 16.24% say the coffee pods/capsules are compatible with all coffee machines from Dolce Gusto. Furthermore, 8.98% say that the amount of water and temperature can be adjusted according to personal preference.

Additionally, 4.98% say there is a wide selection of beverages to choose from. Moreover, 4.86% feel other brands such as Starbucks can be enjoyed at home with Starbucks pods. Lastly, 4.21% say each recipe is packed in one coffee pod so there is no need to install extra equipment.

Over 43% Feel Nescafe Coffee Tastes ‘Bold’

The survey then asks respondents what Nescafe coffee tastes like to them. A majority of 43.33% suggest ‘bold’, 10.92% say ‘full flavored’, 9.69% suggest sour, and 9.16% say fresh. A further 6.80% say Nescafe coffee tastes smooth, 4.83% say rich, 3.37% say balanced, and 2.90% say sweet.

Accordingly, the survey also asks about Nescafe coffee products’ overall roast level. The majority (51.43%) say ‘dark roast’ while 23.51% feel their coffee is ‘medium roast’. However, 11.47% say ‘light roast’. The survey also asks about Nescafe’s product quality. In response, 57.86% feel it is ‘excellent’, 22.47% feel it is ‘average’, and 8.94% say ‘poor’.

Additionally, the survey asks what makes respondents most happy about Nescafe coffee products. In reply, 46.15% say ‘fragrance’ 18.89% say ‘aroma’, 6.42% say ‘acidity’, and 4.91% say ‘balance’. Some 4.77% say, ‘sweetness’ while 4.34% say body/texture.

Lastly, the survey asks if respondents feel Nescafe offers diverse coffee products. In answer, 50.76% say ‘extremely diverse’, 23.74% say ‘somewhat diverse’, and 17.36% say ‘sufficiently diverse’. However, 8.14% feel Nescafe products are not diverse.

To conclude, the survey asks if respondents will continue to use Nescafe products in the future. All 74.71% say ‘yes’ as the most preferred coffee drink is Nescafe. However, 11.52% say ‘no’.
