With fears about COVID-19 coming down slowly, people are finally opening themselves up to the world. Thanks to science, better preventive measures, care, and the Covid-19 vaccine all played a large role in the road to recovery. The Covid-19 vaccine essentially gives our cells instructions on how to ‘destroy’ the virus.
However, the public has mixed opinions about the Covid-19 vaccine. Some believe that the Covid-19 vaccine has other uses. Thus, Real Research — the online survey application, launched a survey about the effectiveness of the COVID-19 vaccine. Here are the results.

Most Respondents Have Received Pfizer BioNTech Vaccine
The survey starts by asking respondents ‘have you caught Covid-19?’. In reply, 48.44% said ‘yes, I tested positive once’ while 34.30% have not caught it so far. Moreover, 10.17% said ‘unsure, I think I did but didn’t get tested so far’. Lastly, 7.09% ‘tested positive more than once’.
Next, the survey asks which Covid-19 vaccine respondents received. To this, the majority (33.98%) say ‘Pfizer BioNTech’, 19.76% say ‘Moderna’, and 12.76% say ‘Sinopharm’. Additionally, 8.34% say ‘Sputnik V’, 5.96% say ‘Oxford Astra-Zeneca’, and 7.72% did not get a Covid-19 vaccine due to medical reasons.
Further, the survey asked during what year respondents caught Covid-19. The majority (26.22%) said ‘2019’, 15.58% said ‘2021’, 14.80% said ‘2020’, and 8.06% said ‘2022.’ However, 26.65% have not caught it yet.
More Than 34% Caught COVID-19 After Getting the Vaccine
The Covid-19 survey asked respondents about getting Covid-19 after vaccination. On this, 34.91% said ‘yes, I got Covid after my first dose’ while 14.45% ‘yes, I got Covid after both doses’. Meanwhile, 6.08% say ‘yes, I got Covid within 6 months of getting both my doses’ and 1.83% say ‘yes, after the booster shot’. However, 26.91% did not get catch after being vaccinated.
Next, the survey asked whether respondents received the booster shot. To this, more than half the respondents (50.03%) said ‘yes’ while 35.14% said ‘not yet’ and 14.83% ‘do not plan on getting it’.
Further on, the survey asks if respondents know of others who got Covid-19 after vaccination. To which, 43.29% said ‘yes, I know someone who got after the first dose’, 19.52% ‘yes, I know someone who got after both doses’. Additionally, 5.04% said ‘yes, I know someone who got Covid after the booster shot’. However, 23.53% do not know anyone who got infected after the Covid-19 vaccination.
The Majority Believes the Government ‘Tracks’ Using COVID-19 Vaccine
Carrying on, the survey also asks what respondents believe the Covid-19 vaccine does if it is ineffective. The majority (40.10%) suggest the government is tracking us while 13.56% say it ‘alters our DNA’.
Moreover, 7.95% suggest it ‘weakens immunity’ whereas, 7.47% say ‘it’s just a Placebo effect’. Likewise, 3.42% say it ‘causes allergies’, 2.34% say it causes ‘fertility problems’, and 1.70% say it ‘shortens lifespan’. Lastly, 22.40% believe the vaccine is effective.
To conclude, the survey asks if respondents trust the Covid-19 vaccine. Here, 48.13% said ‘yes, they are approved by WHO’ while 17.99% say ‘yes’ as they simply believe in modern medicine. In contrast, 13.61% said ‘no, it was developed too fast, and is not fully effective’ while 12.13% said ‘no, it will alter my DNA’. Lastly, 7.44% said ‘no, it is just a political and financial game’.
