In celebration of fitness and wellness, Dubai dedicates a whole month to an event called Dubai 30X30. This is a month-long event aimed at boosting fitness for everyone. In particular, Dubai Fitness Challenge 2021 held the Dubai Run, where 146,000 participants took part.

Thus, Real Research held a survey on Dubai Fitness Challenge. Part of the event was held at Dubai Expo 2020. Indeed, Dubai is seeing visitors from all across the world coming in for the Expo. Most believe that Expo 2020 will attract large-scale investments at a national level. As for what most believe about the Dubai Fitness Challenge, here are the results.

52.06% of the Respondents Are Aware of Dubai Fitness Challenge

The Dubai Fitness Challenge 2021 kicked off on October 29 and went on till November 27. To highlight, just over half (52.06%) are aware of this event. Thus, the Real Research Dubai Fitness Challenge survey went on to ask if the respondents consider themselves fitness enthusiasts. To this, 57.72% say ‘Yes’.

Next, the survey asks which workout-related events do they find interesting at the Dubai Fitness Challenge locations. The majority (29.54%) chose sport-related events such as beach volleyball and boxing. Likewise, 7.62% say adventure sports like climbing, 5.96% say unconventional workouts like trampolines and drumstick fitness workouts.

More so, 4.71% and 4.21% chose dance-oriented workouts like Zumba and gym-oriented workouts like lifting and cardio. Lastly, 3.17% chose yoga and meditation-type workouts like pilates and 0.70% chose conventional group activities like marathons and triathlons.

34.84% Say Age 20-29 Will Make the Most of the Dubai Fitness Challenge

On a more general note, the Dubai Fitness Challenge survey asks its users what measures they take to stay fit. On this, the majority (32.24%) chose conventional exercise like running, cycling, and going to the gym. Meanwhile, 10.09% chose activity-based exercises like dance and sport. Likewise, 6.99% say they focus on eating healthy and cut out excessive food with empty calories.

Lastly, 1.90% say they choose to spend time outdoors to get fresh air and 1.61% say they meditate and do yoga to elevate mental health. Finally, 1.50% say they visit the beach or the park or any outdoor event to socialize and create a  healthy work-life balance while 1.05% say they follow a strict diet like Keto, Paleo, or others.

To not, 26.61% think Ages 19 and below will make the most of the Dubai Fitness Challenge. 34.84% chose Age 20-29, 13.07% chose Age 30-39, 6.78% chose Age 40-49, 4.83% chose Age 50-59, 2.36% chose Age 60-69, and 10.61% chose Age 70 and above.

28.27% say that the Dubai Fitness Challenge is popular because people wish to get fit. Going forth, 7.61% say it is popular because people go to try out healthy and tasty food alternatives. Meanwhile, 6.82% say people meet and socialize with other fitness enthusiasts, 6.31% say many find new ways to stay fit at this event, and 5.79% say it is a good time to explore Dubai.

Most Respondents (25.55%) Practice Aerobic Excercise 

The Dubai Fitness Challenge next asks respondents what type of training or exercise they most prefer to do. On this 25.55% chose aerobic exercise, 11.43% chose strength exercise, 5.39% say breathing and stretching exercise, 5.41% chose balance exercise, 5.02% chose endurance training, and 3.50% chose HIIT (High-Intensity Interval Training).

Accordingly, the next question asks which muscle group do respondents tend to focus more on during their workouts. In order, say ‘Arms’ (22.52%), ‘Full Body’ (12.37%), ‘Chest/Shoulders/Back’ (9.38%), ‘Legs/Quads/Glutes’ (5.70%), and ‘Core’ (5.54%).

To conclude, the survey asks respondents if their corresponding nations also host similar events. To which, 32.15% say ‘Yes, our events are just as grand’, 15.55% say ‘Maybe, I am not aware’, and ‘Yes, but not on such a big scale’. The raiming 42.35% say ‘Not at all’.
