Joker 2 director Todd Phillips made this year’s Valentine’s Day exo-special by posting a preview of the upcoming sequel, Joker: Folie à Deux, on Instagram. The three preview images featured Joaquin Phoenix as Joker and Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn, with the caption “Hoping your day is full of love, 10.4.24”.
In the first snapshot, Joaquin is clad in a burgundy suit adorned with his signature Joker makeup, while Lady Gaga is seen in a midnight blue dress.
In the next image, the duo, adorned in black and white, could be seen gazing affectionately into each other’s eyes while the tips of their noses touched.
In the third and final shot, Lady Gaga is elegant in a white gown, while Joaquin is in a sleek black tuxedo. The two could be seen dancing on Gotham City’s rooftop.
Meanwhile, Margot Robbie, who portrayed Harley Quinn in Suicide Squad and Birds of Prey, has been replaced by Lady Gaga. When asked about Lady Gaga taking over the role, Robbie supported, stating, “I always wanted Harley to be a character that would get passed on to other actresses to play, the way there are so many iconic male characters.”
