Thailand recently passed a same-sex marriage bill, recognizing equal marriage rights. Real Research, an online survey app, revealed that 44.58% of the respondents were completely aware of Thailand’s legalizing homosexual marriages.

Thailand To Legalize Homosexual Marriages

The lower house of parliament overwhelmingly voted in favor of the bill, with 400 supporting its passage and 10 against it in a final reading. 53.60% of the respondents oppose the implementation of the bill, as they don’t want Thailand to legalize homosexual marriages.

A recent survey on Thailand legalizing homosexual marriages revealed that, given the perks that this bill would grant LGBTQ couples, including inheritance, surrogacy, and adoption rights equal to those of heterosexual marriages, 61.44% of the respondents think homosexuals will be more interested in registering their marriage.

Parliamentary Committee

The chairman of the parliamentary committee noted that this bill has been passed in an attempt to build an inclusive society while reducing disparity and inequality. 56.50% of the respondents believe legalizing homosexual marriage will not help create an inclusive society.
