The court labeled Franke as a significant threat to the community after two of her children were regularly denied food, water, beds to sleep in, and virtually all forms of entertainment. At the time of the abuse, the children, aged 9 and 11, lived in a “concentration camp-like setting.”

In social media, however, Franke used to document her family life in Utah, United States, with her husband and their children. Additionally, Franke reportedly used to work as a mental health coach and created content for an Instagram account offering parenting classes.

Many people who share their lives on social media might only be showing what they want to show or how they want to be seen. Franke pleaded guilty to four charges out of six, for which she could face up to 60 years in prison.
