Despite tensions between Russia and Ukraine rising and potentially affecting other countries worldwide, recently Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and his wife were reportedly photographed for the cover of Vogue. The photographs, set in war-torn Ukraine, will be in Vogue’s special War edition, recalling the Zelennskyys’ take on the war, their relationship over the years, and how the war “made their love stronger.”

The photo shoot, however, has gained mixed comments and opinions from society. Some feel the insensitivity of the idea, while others compare the pictures to old pictures of the Churchills from World War 2. Thus, Real Research launched a survey on President Zelenskyy and wife’s Vogue cover photoshoots midst of war-torn Ukraine. Here’s what the respondents had to say.

Majority of Respondents Are Aware of Zelenskyy’s Vogue Photoshoots

Many heard and commented on the news of President Zelenskyy and wife’s Vogue cover photoshoot. When asked about the awareness of the Vogue photoshoot featuring the Zelenskyy, 55.04% are well aware of it, whereas 22.45% have heard about it but do not know the details. Some though (22.51%) were reportedly unaware.

Next, the survey asks respondents their feelings about President Zelenskyy and wife’s Vogue cover photoshoot. The respondents said they feel irritated (29.7%), disappointed (14.22%), angry (12.06%), sad (11.63%), and hopeful (9.51%). 21.96%, however, remain neutral.

Respondents’ Take on President Zelenskyy and Wife’s Vogue Cover Photoshoot

The survey then asks respondents about their opinions on President Zelenskyy and wife’s Vogue cover photoshoot. In response, a majority of 40.03% feel it is their wish to do what they please with their lives. A further 13.22% say the photos perfectly capture and remember the war for the future, with 12.07% say they represent the faces of bravery.

Moreover, 9.51% say the internet storm and popularity surrounding the Ukrainian president’s Vogue photoshoot will shed light on Ukraine’s condition. Whereas, 9.2% say it is extremely absurd to hold photoshoots in war-torn Ukraine.

Additionally, the survey asks respondents if they agree that President Zelenskyy and wife’s Vogue cover photoshoot highlighted the realities of the war. To this, up to 28.94% highly disagree, whereas 14.88% disagree, and 29.4% are neutral. Furthermore, 17.48% agree, leaving 9.31% who highly agree.

The Zelenskyy’s Relationship, History, Marriage– Respondents Interested?

The magazine publication also features the Zelenskyy’s allegedly speaking about their relationship, history, and marriage at the time of war, etc. Accordingly, the survey asks respondents if they would be interested to read about this. In response, 43.97% say they are very interested, whereas 21.68% are fairly interested. On the other hand, 20.05% are not interested, with 14.29% are not interested at all.

In discussions about the photoshoot, some even revived old photos of the UK’s former Prime Minister, Winston Churchill, and his wife, Clementine Churchill. At the time, the photos were intended to ‘boost British wartime morale.’ Thus, the survey asks respondents if they feel the Zelenskyys’ intentions were much in the same way. 35.65% highly agree, whereas 24.48% agree. In contrast, 11.95% disagree, leaving 9.76% who highly disagree.

Lastly, the survey asks if the photos will revive recollections of the war even years later. 33.61% say it most definitely will, whereas 17.02% say it ‘definitely’ will, and 17.96% say maybe it will. However, 20.1% say the photos will definitely not revive recollections of the war.
