Similarly, men focus on good colognes to make a memorable impression. In addition, a good scent boosts confidence and increases one’s charm.
The online survey application — Real Research, launched a survey on the Best Perfumes and Colognes for Men. It asked respondents ‘why do people use perfumes or colognes’ or ‘how often do people use perfumes’. More so, it focused on best mens perfume and best mens cologne. Here are the results.

A Whopping 86.44% Use Perfume or Cologne
To begin, the survey asked respondents if they use perfume or cologne. In response, 86.44% said ‘yes’ while 13.56% ‘no’. The next question asked the respondents, how often they use perfumes and colognes. On this, 34.94% said once a day. In addition, 34.22% said 2-3 times a day, 14.71% said occasionally, and 8.05% said they do not use perfumes and colognes at all.
Following this, respondents reveal what makes them want to buy a particular perfume. Here, 26.25% said advertisements, and 14.37% said fragrance. Likewise, the brand (11.75) the price (11.22%), smell persistence (10.15%), friend’s opinion (9.98%) packaging (2.49%), and seller’s advice (2.46%).
8.87% Spend More Than $101 on a Perfume
Next, the survey asked respondents about how much they are willing to spend on perfumes and colognes. A majority of 56.34% said up to $20. Whereas, 15.75% said $20-$40 and 8.33% said $41-$60. Moreover, 8.87% replied, more than $101.
Following after, the survey asks which men’s perfume do respondents like best. The results are as follows, Tom For Noir (42.71%), Dior Sauvage (12.41%), and Chanel Blue De Chanel (7.60%) Adding on, Jo Malone London Huntsman (5.91%), Penhaligon’s Juniper Sling (5.48%), and Diesel Only the Brave Tattoo (3.25%).
Similarly, the survey asks which men’s colognes do respondents like best. Here, the top two are Dior Homme (49.66%) and Arquiste Misfit (8.04%). Up next came Roja Perfume Danger Pour Homme Parfum Cologne (7.43%). Lastly, Tom Ford Oud Wood Intense (6.31%) and Louis Vuitton Imagination (5.66%).
41.89% Said Perfumes and Colognes Are Very Important for Them
Similarly, another question in the survey asked respondents why do they wear perfumes and colognes. In response, 39.39% said to smell good and 32.59% said to boost self-confidence. Likewise, 9.60% use them to impress others and 4.50% use them to get the attention of women.
In conclusion, respondents reveal that using perfumes or colognes is very important to them (41.89%). Meanwhile, 21.84% said it is just important and 27.39% are neutral on the importance of using these scents. On the other hand, 8.88% said it is not important at all to them.
