Sports are a huge part of culture across the globe. Fans all over the world held their breath during the entire Olympic Games. This year, Norway has been the focus of attention as the country won the championship in the 2018 Winter Olympics. The Beijing 2022 became quite political when countries started to boycott. To specify, the Diplomatic boycott of Beijing Olympics became the talk of the town when the US boycotted it first and later Australia did the same.

Accordingly, Real Research launched a survey on the Olympic Winter Games Beijing. In detail, it focuses on whether the public gained interest in winter sports after watching the Winter Olympics. Do respondents prefer to watch or play winter sports? In general, what do respondents think about the Winter Olympics? Also, respondents made predictions for the Beijing Olympics winners and runner-ups.

13.59% Believe Germany Will Ultimately Win Beijing 2022

The first question in the survey asked respondents if they have been watching Olympic Winter Games Beijing 2022. A majority of 83.04% respondents said ‘yes’, while 16.96% said ‘no’.

Following this, the next question in the survey asks the respondents ‘how satisfied they are with the opening ceremony of Beijing 2022?’. On this, 43.71% are very satisfied, 20.60% are satisfied, and 23.59% are neutral. On the other hand, 6.63% are not satisfied and 5.47% said they did not see the opening ceremony.

Moreover, the survey asks respondents to make predictions for the Olympic Winter Games Beijing 2022 winner. Here, 51.74% think Norway will be the winner. Likewise, 13.59% say Germany, 12.52% say the United States, and 3.68% say Austria.

The next question asks the respondents whom they think will be the first runner-up. Here, 36.39% sad Norway, 16.57% say Germany, 16.21% say the United States, 7.76% say the Netherlands, and 1.65% say Sweden. Likewise, thoughts on the second runner-up went as such: Norway (36.96%), The United States (17.59%), Germany (13.70%), and Austria (7.95%).

In addition, the next question asks which game the respondents enjoyed most. On this, 36.64% chose Alpine skiing, 8.79% chose Biathlon, and 6.05% chose Bobsleigh. Lastly, 7.25% chose curling.

Next, the survey asks which sport caught their interest in terms of wanting to learn from the Olympic winter games Beijing 2022. Here, 37.87% chose Alpine skiing, 9.66% chose Biathlon, and 6.60% chose Bobsleigh. Lastly, 7.74% chose Ice hockey and 5.42% chose cross-country skiing. 

Accordingly, the survey asks if respondents become more interested in winter sports after the Olympic winter games Beijing 2022? A whopping, 67.80% said ‘yes, more interested’, 21.07% said ‘no, same as before’, and 11.13% said ‘no, less interested than before’.

40.49% Say the Opening and Closing Ceremonies Are Most Important

Moreover, another question asks if respondents have become more interested in the Winter Olympics after Beijing 2022. In reply, 70.20% said ‘yes, more interested’, 20.19% said ‘no, same as before’, and 9.61% said ‘no, less interested than before’.

Carrying on, the next question asks what is the most important to watch in Olympics? In response, 40.49% chose the opening/closing ceremony, 27.54% chose ‘players’, 10.83% chose the games, and 5.32% chose ranking and results.

In conclusion, the survey asked how respondents feel about Beijing 2022 so far. Answers are as follows: 5 points (50.29%), 4 points (17.63%), 3 points (13.69%), 2 points (6.42%), and 1 point (11.97%).
