Hence, Real Research — the online survey app, launched a survey on Inventing Anna. In detail, the survey focused on Anna Sorokin’s true story. Furthermore, it asked respondents how would they feel if something similar happens to them. Here are the results.

Inventing Anna is making headlines all over the world. The first asked respondents if they are aware of her spectacular grift. In response, 71.40% said ‘yes’. On the other hand, 28.60% said ‘no’.

Respondents share if they like to watch Anna Sorokin’s true story made into Netflix series. Here, 75.84% said ‘yes’ and 24.16% said ‘no’.

Julia Garner, Emmy-Winning Actress Is the Main Lead

Moving on, respondents share the reason behind their interest in the series. In response, 56.57% said it is currently Netflix’s no.1 show. In addition, 14.54% say it is a Shonda Rhimes limited series production. Also, 9.89% say the story is simply fascinating, and 5.38% say Emmy-winning actress, Julia Garner, is the main lead. Moreover, 4.90% said everyone around them is recommending it.

Furthermore, another question in the survey on Inventing Anna asked respondents if they prefer movies based on true stories. On this, 44.70 % said ‘extremely’, 22.67% said ‘neutral’, 20.50% said ‘fairly’, and 12.12% said ‘not really’.

12.54% Will Be Shocked if Something Similar Happens to Them

In detail, respondents share how would they feel if something similar happens to them. Responses are: flabbergasted (40.34%), unbelieving (13.92%), shocked (12.54%), betrayed (5.64%), humiliated (3.03%), and terrified (2.78%).

Netflix has paid a whopping $320,000 to Anna Sorokin to air her story in ‘Inventing Anna’. Hence, the survey asks respondents to share their thoughts on this. Firstly, 51.62% think it is acceptable because it was her life story. Secondly, 12.62% said it is totally unfair how a grifter can make so much money. Thirdly, 6.03% said she is still hungry for money despite the fact that her story will remain as a video document for good. Lastly, 6.18% said similar crimes might occur and 0.41% said ‘other’.
