The world is surely thriving in automation, from driverless cars to AI-powered innovations, robotics, 3D printing, etc. The main purpose of any technology is to increase efficiency and minimize costs in the long run. Drones or drone technology is one such innovation. Drones are autonomous aerial vehicles that are remotely controlled and used in a variety of ways.

Thus, Real Research launched a survey on drones. The survey aims to know what the public has to say about the use of drones, specifically, the usage of drones for commercial and personal uses. Here are the results.

Highlights

  • 42.30% have used drones for surveillance and security.
  • 69.06% have owned a drone for 1-3 years.
  • 54.04% feel there are risks to privacy when using drones.

The Drone Technology and its Usage

The survey starts with a question on whether respondents have heard of drones or drone technology. In response, 85.14% say ‘yes,’ and 14.86% say ‘no.’ Then, the survey asks if the respondents have used or controlled a drone. 71.70% of respondents say ‘yes’ whereas, 28.30% said ‘no.’
