Breast cancer ranks as one of the most frequently diagnosed types of cancer among women globally, regardless of economic development levels. Real Research, an online survey app, revealed that 50.68% of the respondents were completely aware of this, 42.82% were vaguely aware, and 6.5% were completely unaware.

Breast Cancer Cases Surged

Breast cancer stands as one of the three most prevalent and greatest forms of cancer, comprising over 11.06% of people diagnosed with breast cancer for the first time. 60.90% of the respondents think breast cancer numbers will definitely continue to rise in the next few years.

Moreover, many people do not realize that men have breast tissue and they are susceptible to being diagnosed with breast cancer. 62.46% of the respondents said they knew that men are vulnerable to developing breast cancer.

Sudden Surge in Breast Cancer Cases

Recently breast cancer cases surged to high levels. 68.74% of the respondents said there should be more awareness among the general public about the breast cancer epidemic.

Furthermore, breast cancer cases have increased in the last few years. Oncologists believe that breast cancer risk effects are caused by factors like smoking, alcohol use, obesity, reduced breastfeeding rates, and many more. 54.16% of the respondents believe breast cancer cases have surged because of lifestyle choices not hormonal factors and genetics.

Medical Insurance

The way breast cancer cases have surged has led to some oncologists suggesting that women in their 30s should undergo cancer screening tests, while those with a family history are advised to consider testing even earlier. 67.58% of the respondents believe medical insurance should cover all the screening tests.
