Online shopping has been around for years but, it has only recently become mainstream. This is likely due to Covid-19 issues. Now people can shop for clothes, groceries, furniture, and many other products from any store across the globe at the comfort of their home.

The Internet has revolutionized the way we shop, offering a number of benefits. Due to these benefits, many people tend to prefer buying things online over the conventional method of going into stores. However, online shopping also has its disadvantages such as long delays in shipping, damaged products, and no refund or exchange options.

Buyaladdin is an e-commerce shopping app that lets you browse millions of products from hundreds of shopping malls across different countries and currencies. It aims to deliver a unique online shopping experience using cryptocurrency. Therefore, Real Research surveyed its users to find out the public perception of overseas purchases through purchasing agent services.

The Majority Have Shopping Apps Installed On Their Mobile Phones

Online shopping is great, super fun, and even easier when retailers make you shop for the latest fashion trends via a fast and easy-to-use app.

In a survey conducted by Real Research, the majority (69%) have shopping apps installed on their mobile phones. On the other hand, only a small percentage (31%) don’t have any shopping apps installed on their smartphones.

Moving further, 29% of respondents shop about 3 to 4 times a month, followed by 13% who shop 2 to 3 times a day. Aside from these, 17% said they shop once a month, and 11% shop once every few months. However, about 30% don’t shop online.

Overseas Direct Purchase

Overseas direct purchase is a shopping method that enables users to buy high-quality products abroad easily and cheaply through overseas online shopping malls or purchasing agency sites.

When asked if respondents have any experience in overseas direct purchase, 55% said they have experience. Meanwhile, about 45% said they have no experience in overseas direct purchase.

Additionally, 29% find language, including supported language on the website, converting address in English and others as one of the most challenging things for overseas purchases through overseas direct purchase or purchasing agent service, 10% find shipping more challenging, around 9% think that customs are more challenging. In addition, nearly 7% find exchanges, refunds, or cancelation more challenging and more than 26% think there are other things they find challenging. Meanwhile, 18% don’t have any experience in overseas purchases.

The Majority Is Positive About Cryptocurrencies as Payment Methods

Among the participants, some (37%) are extremely positive and others (18%) are positive about the use of cryptocurrencies as means of payment for goods through mobile. While others are neutral, 6% and 8% are sharing negative feelings about the use of digital assets as a method of payment for goods via mobile.

To the question of what are you looking forward to when purchasing goods with cryptocurrencies, 33% said transfer fee exemption, 11% said simplified payment process, 6% said enhanced security, and 8% noted good use of their own cryptocurrency. However, 42% said they are looking for other things.

Many People Are Aware of Buyaladdin App

The majority (56%) know about Buyaladdin shopping mall, but only a few (44%) don’t know about the online shopping app.

Diving deeper, 39% and 9% are extremely interested or somewhat interested to use Buyaladdin — a global shopping platform that allows users to purchase goods from various online malls worldwide. However, only 5% and 3% are uninterested or extremely uninterested in using the platform.

On top of this, 36% don’t know whether they are interested in using the app or not. Surprisingly, 7% know about Buyaladdin.

All in all, 48% have the Buyaladdin app installed on their smartphones, and 8% installed the app but deleted it. Only 44% have never installed the Buyaladdin app.
