After Amber Heard repeatedly alleged that Johnny Depp had abused her while under the influence of drugs, Johnny Depp was accused of domestic violence following the couple’s divorce in 2016. Depp filed a defamation action against Heard’s allegations. He further asserts that Heard physically assaulted him many times and has proof to support his claim.

The case progresses, with Depp against Heard’s call for alleged justice. Thus, Real Research launched a survey on Johnny Depp and Amber Heard’s defamation trial. It aims to find the public views about who is innocent in this historic trial. Here are the results.

Highlights

  • 53.31% support Johnny Depp and think Amber Heard is violent.

Hollywood Stars, Drugs, Abuse, and Domestic Violence

The survey begins by asking respondents if they are fans of Holywood stars Johnny Depp and Amber Heard. The majority (60.98%) chose ‘Yes, I am a fan of Johnny Depp’. On the other hand, 18.42% say ‘No, I am not a fan of either’. On the other hand, 12.01% say ‘Yes, I am a fan of both’ and 8.58% say ‘Yes, I am a fan of Amber Heard’.

The survey also asks respondents how just the verdict against Depp was in the case of domestic violence allegations against Amber Heard. In reply, 51.49% say ‘very fair’, and 17.04% say ‘fair’. In contrast, 9.22% chose ‘unfair’, and 5.12% say ‘very unfair’.

Next, the survey asks if respondents were aware that the trial was underway in Virginia. In response, 45.39% say ‘I heard about it, but I don’t know the details.’ Secondly, 33.44% say ‘yes I am aware.’ Meanwhile, 21.17% say ‘No, I am not aware.’

Similarly, the survey asks respondents since the trial is on domestic violence, whose opinion they trust more. In reply, all 53.31% chose ‘Johnny Depp: I’ve never hit any woman in my life. Rather, heard was violent.’ In contrast. 31.25% chose to say ‘I trust neither.’ Whereas. 15.44% say ‘Amber Heard: I had to use makeup to cover up my injuries inflicted by Depp.’

To Trust or Not To Trust, That Is the Question

Next, the survey asks about the drug and alcohol issues in this trial and who the respondents trust more. The majority (55.10%) say ‘Johnny Depp.’ In contrast, 30.85% say they trust neither. Then, 14.06% of respondents chose ‘Amber Heard: Depp took alcohol and drugs despite begging him to quit’.

Additionally, the survey asks about the issue of affairs and who the respondents trusted more. In response, 55.07% say ‘Johnny Depp: CCTV footage shows Heard having affair with Elon Musk after one month of marriage’. A further 30.48% say that they trust neither. Lastly, 14.09% say ‘Amber Heard: CCTV footage doesn’t say filming time and I met Elon Musk after my divorce’. 

The Final Verdict: Johnny Depp and Amber Heard Defamation

The survey also asks respondents for their opinion on the live broadcast of the trial on TV and YouTube. In reply, a majority of 42.44% say that they changed their opinions after watching the live broadcast. Meanwhile, 13.03% say it is a private matter between the two and they don’t want to hear it. 12.39% say it is interesting, and 11.71% show disinterest.

To conclude, the survey asks respondents about who will win this trial in the end. The majority of 53.51% of respondents say ‘Johnny Depp‘, 31.29% are still ‘unsure’, and 15.20% say ‘Amber Heard’.
