Tech enthusiasts and Apple fans have been eagerly waiting for the iPhone 15 series, expecting ground-breaking features and revolutionary innovations. Finally, the highly anticipated day arrived as consumers rushed to stores, breaking their bank accounts and eagerly waiting for the Apple Stores to open their doors.

When the shutter finally opened, consumers rushed in, hoping to grab a hold of their very own iPhone 15 series. With great enthusiasm, users opened the smooth and elegant box of their very own iPhone 15—they rushed their fingers across the smooth surface, searching for the latest features that Apple has introduced.

“Whoa, take a look at the camera, which is only slightly different from the iPhone 14… Whoa, take a look at the action button, which hardly makes a difference… Whoa, take a look at the display, which looks similar to the iPhone 14 once again… Whoa, take a look at the…Wait a minute! Why does the iPhone 15 series look similar to the iPhone 14 series?” are thoughts that pondered through several tech enthusiasts’ minds.

Mobile gurus and reviewers have all shared a common complaint — Apple lacks feature upgrades for its new iPhone models. The iPhone 15 witnessed a backlash from the community as members reported several issues arising from this highly-anticipated phone. Some of the complaints raised include overheating issues, a bug causing the latest iPhone series to freeze, lagging iOS, and the discoloration of titanium due to fingerprints.

Additionally, a shocking video, created by JerryRigEverything, started revolving across social media platforms, revealing that the iPhone 15 Pro Max breaks easily. However, despite the rigorous tests and proofs about the iPhone 15, it is still a mystery whether users still love Apple and its latest gadget.

To further find out and understand the consumers’ point of view on this topic, Real Research, an online survey app, launched a survey on Apple’s newly launched iPhone 15 Series.


  • 52.18% are somewhat pleased with the iPhone 15’s upgraded camera and customizable action button.
  • Around 49.62% somewhat agree that Apple lacks feature upgrades for its new iPhone models.
  • 50.14% of respondents claimed that it is extremely likely that Apple makes their phones deliberately less durable to increase sales.

Popularity Contest: Is Apple Still Famous Among the Lot?

When asked if they were aware of Apple unveiling its all-new iPhone 15 series, 42.85% were well aware of this; meanwhile, 44.12% were vaguely aware. 13.03% of respondents are still completely unaware of the launch of the iPhone 14 series.

On the other hand, 35.15% have expressed that they used to own an iPhone; however, they do not currently own one. This could be due to the increasing prices and the lack of unique features. On the bright side, 31.28% wholeheartedly claimed that they own an iPhone. The remaining 33.57% continue to avoid owning an iPhone.

The survey revealed that 52.18% were somewhat pleased with the upgraded camera and customizable action button. The new cameras in the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max models had 3x and 5x zoom, respectively, with additional features such as macro photography, AppleProRAW photography, and more. Despite these improvements, 10.54% mentioned that they were not pleased with the upgrades.

Lack of Unique Development from Apple in the Long Run?

One of the complaints raised in social circles about the Apple iPhone 15 development is that it lacked feature upgrades for its new models. Often comparing it with Android phones, tech gurus and members of the community mentioned that the iPhone models still need to showcase a unique development that would stand out in the mobile market.  The survey also highlighted that at least 49.62% somewhat agreed that Apple lacked a feature upgrade for its new iPhone models. Meanwhile, 20.51% somewhat disagreed with this statement. 4.53% also responded that they completely disagreed with this statement.

Despite the lack of feature upgrades, how was the iPhone able to drive up sales? The community took it upon themselves to accuse Apple of deliberately making the iPhone models less durable, thus making them more susceptible to damage. While conducting the survey, at least half of the respondents (50.14%) claimed that it was extremely likely for Apple to take such an unethical approach to drive up its sales. 39.21% claimed that this statement is somewhat true as well. Meanwhile, less than 20% responded that it was highly unlikely for Apple to implement such strategies.
