Batman movies have been one of the most prominent movies and series ever made. They are based on the DC Comics character Batman. Throughout the years, there have been many portrayals of the masked comic book anti-hero. Of which, the latest Batman movie was released starring Robert Pattinson.

Critics and reviews had praise-worthy things to say, and so do the public. Over the years, different preferences in culture have influenced the portrayal of Batman. Thus, Real Research — the online survey app, launched a survey on the DC anti-hero Batman and the new Batman movie. Here are the results.

Highlights

  • 45.69% have watched the Batman 1989 live-action movie.
  • 41.32% say their favorite Batman villain is the Riddler.

80% Are Fans of Batman From DC Comics

The survey starts with asking if respondents are fans of Batman from DC Comics. All 83.13% say ‘yes’, while 16.88% said ‘no’.

Further, the survey questions which Batman movies respondents have watched so far. A majority of 45.69% responded with ‘Batman (1989)’, 14.36% ‘Batman v Superman (2016)’, and 10.55% ‘The Batman’ (2022)’. Moreover, 9.23% said ‘Batman Returns (1992)’, 8.85% said ‘The Dark Knight Trilogy’, 5.35% ‘Batman Forever’, and 5.30% said ‘Batman & Robin’.

Next, the survey asks about the best animated Batman movie. Here, 49.31% chose ‘Batman Ninja’, 9.10% chose ‘Batman Under The Red Hood’, and 7.98% chose ‘Batman Year One’. Adding on, 6.24% chose ‘Batman: The Killing Joke’, 5.90% chose ‘Son of Batman’, 5.88% chose ‘Batman: Mask of the Phantasm’.

To follow, the survey asks about the best Batman series. Half the respondents (50.11%) chose Gotham (2014-2019), 15.23% chose Batman (1966-1968), and 8.46% chose The Batman (2004-2008). Likewise, 7.67% chose Batman The Animated Series (1992-2995), 7.57% chose Batman: The Brave and the Bold (2008-2011), and 5.53% chose The New Batman Adventure (1997-1999).

The Truest Batman Persona Among Comic Series

Next, the survey asks what Batman comic series is the truest of Batman’s persona? All 42.41% chose ‘Batman: Wayne Family Adventures’, 13.17% chose ‘Modern Batman’, and 11.20% chose ‘The Batman Chronicles’. Meanwhile, 8.18% chose ‘Batman: Legends of the Dark Knight’, 6% chose ‘The New 52 Batman’, 5.45% chose ‘DC Rebirth Batman’, and 5.30% chose ‘Batman: Gotham Knights’.

Carrying on, the survey asks if respondents are aware of the latest Batman movie starring Robert Pattinson. All 84.51% voted ‘yes’, whereas, 15.49% voted ‘no’.

Furthermore, respondents were asked if they would watch the new Batman movie. To which. 57.68% say they will watch it in theatres while 17.89% say they will buy the CD and watch. A further 16.78% say they will watch it later when it comes on TV while 7.65% said they will not watch this movie adaptation.

Respondents Choose Their Favorite Batman Villain

Further on, the survey asks about respondents’ favorite Batman Villain. A majority of 41.72% chose the Riddler, 14.80% chose the Joker, and 14.32% chose ‘Two-Face’. The rest chose as follows, Harley Quinn (7.15%), Bane (5.71%), Penguin (3.68%), Poison Ivy (3.57%), and Catwoman (3.29%).

Next, the survey asks who respondents believe portrayed Batman the best on-screen. The majority (44.33%) chose ‘Lewis G. Wilson’. Whereas, 13.50% chose ‘Robert Lowery’, 8.45% chose ‘Adam West’, and 6.95% chose ‘Robert Pattinson’. Moreover, 5.95% chose ‘Ben Affleck’, 5.68% chose ‘Christian Bale’, 5.64% chose ‘Val Kilmer’, 4.71% chose ‘Michael Keaton’, and 4.22% chose George Clooney’.

To conclude, the survey asks respondents if they believe the new batman movie starring Robert Pattinson would become a hit. Over half (50.52%) said ‘most definitely’ while 23.33% said ‘definitely’. Meanwhile, 8.25% feel it is ‘unlikely’ and 4.92% said ‘most unlikely’.
