Maturity is a rare gem when it comes to a mature mind. To many, this is a change that comes with experience and to others, it is a slow process. One thing is certain, every one of us will experience puberty and with it, experience the behavioral changes during puberty as well.
However, while most of us experience similar physical changes, the experience of behavioral changes in puberty often tends to differ. Thus, Real Research launched a survey about the behavioral changes in puberty. Here are the results.

82.29% Admit to Experiencing Behavioral Changes During Puberty
This leaves 17.71% who say they did not go through any behavioral changes in puberty. To follow up, the survey goes on to ask ‘at what age did you experience puberty’? In reply, 33.49% say 12 or under the age of 12, and 20.65% say at age 18 or above. Likewise, 11.33% say at age 13, 11.08% say at age 15, 9.90% say at age 14, 7.68% say at age 16, and 5.87% say at age 17.
17.78% Felt Very Irritable During Puberty
Accordingly, the survey asks, what emotional and behavioral changes in puberty did the respondents see? In response, 47.47% chose ‘mood swings’ while 17.78% chose ‘being irritable’. Following after came aggressive tendencies (8.19%) and being argumentative with parents or friends (6.74).
In addition, feeling listless and depressed (4.83%), muttering to themselves (4.64%), and being deeply disturbed (3,84%). Lastly, being disrespectful (2.83%) and always thinking negatively (2.80%).
Next, the survey asks if respondents have any shameful behavior they wish to forget during puberty. On this, 36.16% say ‘being delusional and thinking of myself as the main character in a movie’ while 16.42% say ‘expressing my mood too often on social media’.
Likewise, 12.35% say being a bully, 9.03% say ‘thinking I could do anything I put my mind to’, and 7.71% say overusing slang. Lastly, 7.12% say they don’t have any shameful behavior during puberty, 6.86% say thinking they’re special and different from others, and 3.50% chose saying mean things to hurt their parents.
6.43% Recommend Keeping a Diary During Puberty
In conclusion, the survey asks respondents what would be the best way to spend puberty wisely? To start off, the majority (45.79%) say to work out hard is the best way to spend puberty wisely. Then, 16.12% say to meditate while 11.78% say to do something outdoors like biking or swimming.
Adding on, 7.77% say to conversate often with family, 6.43% say to write something which helps them express themselves like a diary. Lastly, 5.73% say to speak with mental health counselor, 5.64% say to get enough rest, and the remaining chose ‘other’.
